French President Machon has arrived in Dhaka

French President Emmanuel Machon arrived in Dhaka on Sunday night (September 10) after the G-20 summit in New Delhi, India. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted Shahjalal on his arrival at the International Airport. Makhon was then given a red carpet reception and a guard of honour. Then the national anthems of the two countries were played. He was given a guard of honor by members of the armed forces and a 21-gun salute was fired.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina introduced the members of the Council of Ministers to the French President. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and French President Machon arrived in Dhaka today after attending the G-20 summit in Delhi.

This is a visit to Dhaka after 33 years by a French president. Earlier, in 1990, the country's President Francois Mitterrand visited Dhaka.

Tomorrow, Monday (September 11), Makhon will pay tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait at 32 Dhanmondi and visit the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum. On this day, he will meet with Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister's office and will also participate in the banquet organized by the Prime Minister in his honor.

Makhon will leave Dhaka on Monday afternoon. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited France in November 2021 at the invitation of the French President.
